I have a special interest in Family Support programming with an emphasis on using technology to connect with a new generation of parents. My educational background, work experience, and skills are listed in more detail below.

Work Experience

Professional Development & Technology Coordinator | Iowa Department of Public Health | 2014-Present​

  • Contribute to the development and content of online learning modules for home visitation programs

  • Facilitate and coordinate training opportunities on a wide variety of topics including: Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) for home visitation, data quality and utilization, assessment tools for child development, reflective supervision, and engaging leadership skills.

  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to promote home visitation and collective impact practices for improved outcomes for families

  • Manage several Maternal, Infant, Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) contracts that provide home visiting services to families across Iowa

  • Manage evaluation and workforce study contracts that inform and improve home visitation practices

  • Provide oversight for the Iowa Family Support Technical Assistance Network, a statewide credentialing process that allows locally grown and funded home visitation programs an opportunity to achieve and adhere to best practice standards of home visitation and family support

  • Provide guidance and input to the Early Childhood Iowa state legislative board on best practices in family support and home visitation programs

  • Provide graphic design and marketing support

Early Childhood Program Supervisor | Lutheran Services in Iowa | 2012-2014

  • Supervise two evidence based home visitation models: Parents as Teachers and Healthy Families America

  • Facilitate and coordinate parent involvement activities
